Los Angeles Lakers to keep Pau Gasol?

The Los Angeles Lakers have reportedly been frustrated in their attempts to trade Pau Gasol before Thursday's deadline.

Gasol has been repeatedly linked with a move away from the Staples center and a trade to the Phoenix Suns was expected to be a possibility recently.

The Lakers remain eager to remove the 33-year-old from their wage bill but are a long way from securing a deal with another franchise, according to Fox Sports.

Gasol, who has been with the Lakers since leaving the Memphis Grizzlies in 2008, recently suggested that he would prefer to stay in California.
