NBA roundup: Los Angeles Clippers overcome Oklahoma City Thunder

Jamal Crawford and Matt Barnes were the stars of the show on Sunday night as they combined for 60 points to give the Los Angeles Clippers a 125-117 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Crawford was able to notch a total of 36 points, while Barnes added 24, as the Clippers won despite blowing a 15-point lead at one point in the game.

Somehow an outstanding Kevin Durant managed to find himself on the losing side at the Chesapeake Energy Arena, despite contributing with the first 40-point, 10-assist game of his career.

In Arizona, the NBA's two form teams met at the US Airways Center, with the Houston Rockets edging the Phoenix Suns with a 115-112 victory.

The visitors had Dwight Howard to thank for the win, who took just 12 shots to reach 25 points, while James Harden had 23 points, seven assists, five rebounds and three steals for the Rockets.

The Toronto Raptors made it six straight wins against the Orlando Magic on Sunday, as they triumphed with a 105-90 win at the Air Canada Centre.

Kyle Lowry stole the applause as he scored 17 of his 28 points in the third quarter, with DeMar DeRozan also looking commanding with 24 points, three rebounds and four assists.

The Sacramento Kings won their second game of the weekend as they travelled to face the Denver Nuggets, with Rudy Gay scoring 32 points in a 109-95 win at the Pepsi Center.

The weekend's final round of games also saw Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra pick up his 300th win, when they overcame the Chicago Bulls 93-79 in Florida.

The Heat were missing star player LeBron James, but Chris Bosh shone in his absence, scoring 28 points on 10-for-23 shooting, with Miami restricting the Bulls to just 35% on shooting.

The Washington Wizards have won two games in as many nights after they triumphed over the Cleveland Cavaliers with a 96-83 encounter at the Quicken Loans Arena.

Having starred over the All-Star weekend, John Wall was in good form again, collecting game-highs of 21 points and nine assists, while Bradley Beal also scored 17 points for the visitors.

Elsewhere, the Brooklyn Nets had Deron Williams to thank, as he contributed 30 points and a career-high six steals in their 108-102 win over the Los Angeles Lakers, while the Portland Trail Blazers had to rally to ensure that they edged past the Minnesota Timberwolves with a 108-97 success at the Moda Center.
