Dwight Howard fined for throwing ball into stands

Dwight Howard has been handed a $25,000 (£15,400) fine for throwing the ball into the stands during the Houston Rockets' loss to the Dallas Mavericks earlier this week.

The center drew a technical foul late in the game after tossing the ball into the crowd during the fourth quarter of Wednesday's defeat.

Howard ended the game with a season-high 33 points.

The Rockets face the Minnesota Timberwolves tomorrow.
