The Denver Nuggets became the first team to advance to this year's NBA Conference finals with a 4-2 series win over the Phoenix Suns at Footprint Center.

Coming into Game Six with a 3-2 advantage, a comprehensive 125-100 rout on the night booked the Nuggets' place in the Western Conference finals for the first time since 2020.

MVP contender Nikola Jokic was unsurprisingly at the heart of the Nuggets' success with a third triple-double in four games, ending the night with 32 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds.

Jamal Murray (26) and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (21) also shone as the Nuggets build up a 30-point advantage by half time, as the Suns were booed off the court by the home crowd.

Cameron Payne led the hosts' response with 31 points on the night, but the Suns could not force a seventh meeting as the Nuggets set up a showdown with either the Los Angeles Lakers or reigning NBA champions Golden State Warriors, who are facing a 3-2 deficit in the series.

However, the Boston Celtics were able to tie their Eastern Conference semi-final with the Philadelphia 76ers, prevailing 95-86 in Game Six to draw the series level at 3-3.

The Lakers and Warriors return for their sixth contest at the Crypto.com Arena on Saturday night, prior to which the Miami Heat host the New York Knicks at Kaseya Center, boasting a 3-2 lead from their opening five games.
