Andreas Seppi plays down Andy Murray status: 'He's no Roger Federer!'

Andreas Seppi stokes the fire ahead of meeting Andy Murray at Wimbledon by suggesting that victory would not rank as the biggest moment of his career.

Andreas Seppi has claimed that beating Andy Murray would not represent a career-high for him should he eliminate the Scot from Wimbledon today.

The Italian faces the two-time Grand Slam champion at SW19 hoping to progress to the fourth round and dump out one of two remaining Britons left in the singles event.

However, the 31-year-old, who knocked the legendary Roger Federer - who has 17 major titles - out of this year's Australian Open, says that scalp will remain his biggest regardless of how he fares against Murray.

"I think maybe beating Roger in Australia is still bigger," Seppi told The Express in a sarcastic tone. "Because it's Roger."

When asked if beating Federer represented more of an achievement than beating Murray, the world number 27 added: "It's a very big jump, yes."

The winner of this evening's match will face Ivo Karlovic in the last 16.
