Scotland winger Sean Lamont calls on his teammates to raise their game in next year's Six Nations.

Scotland winger Sean Lamont has insisted that his country is capable of winning the Six Nations tournament.

The Glasgow Warriors man believes that the Scots can bounce back from a disappointing autumn campaign and find form in the 2013 competition.

"I'd like to win it. For Scotland to win it we need to be clinical in every game and flawless," PA quotes Lamont as saying.

"We can do it, as we've shown against the big teams. We can all on our day be those world beaters, it's just about getting that collective spot on every game. But the rollercoaster ride of performances needs to go."

Lamont went on to say that managerless Scotland should draw inspiration from what Stuart Lancaster has achieved with England, who were struggling to find form when he took over last year.

"We've got England first up, who will be on great form because they had a great win against New Zealand and they've got a good team together," he added.

"A change of coach is always an uncertain time, but it doesn't mean it can't be done. Lancaster came in and has turned it round. It can be done."

The Six Nations 2013 gets underway on February 2, when England take on Scotland and Wales clash with Ireland.
