Wales manager Chris Coleman lauds his side's "superb" performance to beat Scotland 2-1 at Hampden Park tonight.

Wales manager Chris Coleman has declared that he is proud of a "superb" performance from his side against Scotland tonight.

Despite falling behind before half time, Wales responded to claim a 2-1 win away from home thanks to two goals in as many minutes from Aaron Ramsey and Hal Robson-Kanu.

Coleman believes that his side thoroughly deserved all three points thanks to a display which saw the visitors control possession for long spells at Hampden Park.

He told Sky Sports News: "I felt for the first 30 minutes we dominated, the players did everything we asked of them.

"After that I felt we over-complicated things and that led to the first goal. I told the players to keep it simple after the break and they did.

"Young Jonathan Williams came on for Gareth Bale and to play with that sort of confidence in this atmosphere is just superb. We played some superb stuff and I knew we needed the three points to threaten Belgium and Croatia, and we've got them."

Wales now sit third in their World Cup qualifying group ahead of Tuesday's match against Croatia at the Liberty Stadium.
