Go Ahead Eagles comeback stuns sorry Vitesse

Go Ahead Eagles strike twice in the final 15 minutes to hold Vitesse to a 2-2 Eredivisie draw in Arnhem.

Go Ahead Eagles found the net twice in the final 15 minutes to hold Vitesse to a 2-2 Eredivisie draw in Arnhem this evening.

Peter Bosz's side had looked on course for a first win since mid-October, but the visitors struck two late goals to compound the hosts' domestic woes.

Vitesse, who came into the clash on a four-game winless streak, looked good to quell that run of form in the space of 10 minutes.

First, Marko Vejinovic fired Bosz's men into the lead on 41 minutes, before Abiola Dauda doubled the advantage shortly after the interval.

However, Alex Schalk reduced the arrears on 75 minutes to give the Eagles a glimmer of hope, while Mawouna Amevor then struck in the dying stages of normal time to rescue a point for the visitors.
