Ajaccio win six-goal thriller

A double from Chakhir Belghazouani sees Ajaccio defeat Toulouse 4-2 away from home in Ligue 1.

Ajaccio have defeated high-flying Toulouse 4-2 away from home in Ligue 1.

The hosts made the breakthrough as early as the fourth minute when Anthony Lippini put the ball inside his own net.

Ajaccio restored parity in the 15th minute as Frederic Sammaritano fired in from close range.

The visitors went ahead in the 34th minute when Chahir Belghazouani latched on to Sigamary Diarra's pass and shot home with his left foot.

It became 3-1 to Ajaccio midway through the second half, this time Belghazouani putting through Diarra to fire in from distance.

Five minutes later Toulouse scored their second goal of the evening, Aymen Abdennour turning in Cheikh M'Bengue's delivery.

However, any hopes of Toulouse snatching a point were extinguished when Belghazouani and Diarra combined again in injury time for the former to fire in from outside the box.
