Nathan Dyer: 'It would be an honour to play for England'

In-form Swansea City winger Nathan Dyer admits that he would love to be considered for the England national team.

Swansea City winger Nathan Dyer has spoken of his ambition to play for the England national team, claiming that it "would be an honour" to link up with the Three Lions.

The 26-year-old has earned plaudits for scoring the winner against Burnley and bagging a brace against West Bromwich Albion to briefly take the Swans to the top of the Premier League.

Dyer told Sky Sports News: "Obviously it would be an honour to play for England and any player would love to play for their country.

"I'm one of them but I've got no say what happens and all I can do is keep playing well and keep improving for Swansea.

"I'm really enjoying my football at the moment, but I'm going to keep my head down and keep playing for Swansea. I feel there's more improvement to come."

In 2012, Dyer was approached by Jamaica to play for their national team, but turned down the request.
