Martin O'Neill is looking to increase his interest in new signings after "one or two" enquiries.

Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill has revealed that he is looking to increase his interest in new signings after making "one or two" enquiries so far.

The Black Cats have signed just Carlos Cuellar so far in the transfer window, and O'Neill admits that he needs to progress with the options that he has so far.

"I have made one or two enquiries, but I have not progressed anything greatly at this moment," he told the Sunderland Echo.

"I haven't done anything definite. I've made the enquiries and said to people, keep us informed. However now I will start to develop things a bit more."

Sunderland's pre-season tour of South Korea begins on Monday.
