Luka Modric has insisted that he is not Real Madrid's saviour amid a difficult period of the season.
The Croatian made his return from a thigh problem in Tuesday's Champions League clash against Schalke – a match that Real Madrid lost 4-3, but they still advanced into the quarter-finals with an aggregate score of 5-4.
Modric has been branded by many as the player to turn the club's season around, but the 29-year-old has claimed that Los Blancos need to start 'playing as a team'.
"It's not possible for one player to fix everything on his own. We need to play as a team. We have always played as a team. We have the qualities. I think we'll see the best of Real Madrid in coming matches," Marca quotes Modric as saying.
Modric had been out of action since last November.
