Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Arsenal

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Arsenal.

Manchester United will aim to continue their recent Premier League revival when Arsenal make the journey to Old Trafford for Sunday afternoon's contest.

Erik ten Hag's side made it three wins on the bounce in the top flight with a 1-0 success over Leicester City on Thursday, with Jadon Sancho scoring the game's only goal.

The Red Devils have now risen to fifth in the rankings and will be boosted by the acquisition of Antony from Ajax ahead of Sunday's game, but Ten Hag has a couple of fresh injury woes to contend with as well.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the team's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the contest with the Gunners, who lead the way at the top with 15 points from 15 on offer so far.

Anthony Martial

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Achilles
Possible return date: September 4 (vs. Arsenal)

Anthony Martial suffered an Achilles injury in the win over Liverpool last month and was not ready to take on the Foxes, so his participation for the meeting with Arsenal is currently up in the air.

Luke Shaw

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: September 4 (vs. Arsenal)

Luke Shaw did not make the matchday squad against Leicester due to a "small complaint" according to Ten Hag and will need to be assessed ahead of the weekend, but Tyrell Malacia has seemingly nailed down the left-back role anyway.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Unspecified
Possible return date: September 4 (vs. Arsenal)

As is the case with Shaw, Aaron Wan-Bissaka is aiming to battle back from a minor complaint to feature against Arsenal, but he is another full-back to have dropped down the pecking order behind Diogo Dalot.

Brandon Williams

Status: Out
Type of injury: Unknown
Possible return date: Unknown

Brandon Williams remains out of contention with an injury of an unspecified nature that he suffered in pre-season, and the left-back will play no part against the Gunners.

Facundo Pellistri

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: October 2 (vs. Manchester City)

Twenty-year-old attacker Facundo Pellistri has been ruled out until at least the end of September with an ankle injury, but he could theoretically return for the Manchester derby on October 2.

MAN UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

Mason Greenwood remains suspended by the club until further notice.
