Bernd Schuster expects to leave Malaga

Malaga boss Bernd Schuster expects to leave the club this summer.

Malaga boss Bernd Schuster has revealed that he expects to leave the club this summer.

The German signed a five-year deal with the La Liga side at the start of the season, but is widely expected to return to his home nation next month.

"It seems that way, I bid farewell to Malaga. It's clear what I have done here. I twice spoke to the directors and they've told me what they're thinking. It's fine," he told Onda Cero.

"I tried to stay there, but there is interest from several teams; one in Germany, but nothing concrete. My first priority was that I wanted to fix everything with Malaga and then see what happens further on."

Schuster has previously not hidden his desire to return to the Bundesliga next season.
