Preview: Liverpool vs. Reading

Sports Mole previews Liverpool's Premier League bout against Reading as the Reds welcome the Royals to Anfield on Saturday.

Liverpool are still searching for their first Premier League home win and manager Brendan Rodgers will be hoping that the Reds can pick up their form at Anfield with a victory over Reading this Saturday.

The Merseyside club currently sit just three points away from the relegation zone in the league table but they can move up nearer to 10th position if they claim maximum points.

Reading boss Brian McDermott has yet to see his side win since being promoted to the top flight from the Championship this season, and securing a scalp at Anfield would take the Royals out of the bottom three.

The Reds are currently in a crisis in terms of available strikers following the news that Fabio Borini will be out of action for three months due to required foot surgery, which means that Luis Suarez will be under extra pressure to find the net this weekend.

Meanwhile, Pavel Pogrebnyak and Noel Hunt should lead the line for the away side as they desperately seek a result on away turf.
