Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe admits that he and his players have "good memories" of playing Liverpool after picking up four points in the Premier League last season.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has admitted that facing Liverpool remains 'a big challenge', despite the club's results against the Merseyside giants last season.

The Cherries picked up four points from games against Liverpool, with a stunning comeback earning a 4-3 win at the Vitalty Stadium before a late goal from Joshua King earned the visitors a 2-2 draw at Anfield.

Bournemouth head into Sunday's game without a win in five top-flight fixtures, but Howe has admitted that he has "good memories" of facing Jurgen Klopp's team.

The 40-year-old told reporters: "We have good memories of both Liverpool games last year. The one here will live long in the memory, how we came back."

"The four points we got against Liverpool last year went a long way to helping us finish where we did.

"I think we know how big of a challenge it is. They have a well-known attack, with pace and movement. They score goals for fun."

Bournemouth currently sit in 14th place in the league standings, just two points above the relegation zone.
