Liverpool team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Crystal Palace

Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace.

Liverpool will endeavour to make it three Premier League wins on the bounce when they return to action away to Crystal Palace on Saturday evening.

Jurgen Klopp's side defeated 10-man Newcastle United 2-0 in their most recent domestic clash, leaving them eighth in the table and seven points adrift of fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, who have played two games more.

However, the Reds travel to Selhurst Park on the back of a humiliating 5-2 defeat to Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie - their worst-ever home loss in Europe.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with the Eagles, who occupy 12th spot in the rankings.

Joe Gomez

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: February 25 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Joe Gomez suffered a hamstring injury towards the end of Tuesday's loss to Real Madrid, and while the severity of his problem is still unclear, he has nonetheless emerged as a doubt for Saturday.

Luis Diaz

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: March 11 (vs. Bournemouth)

Luis Diaz has been pictured running on the Kirkby pitches as he steps up his recovery from knee surgery, but the Colombian attacker is still a few weeks away from being considered for selection.

Arthur

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: February 25 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Despite having trained with the team for a couple of weeks after thigh surgery, Arthur was not involved in the squad to face Real Madrid in midweek, and the tight turnaround makes the Brazilian - who is yet to make his Premier League debut - a major doubt for this contest too.

Ibrahima Konate

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: February 25 (vs. Crystal Palace)

Ibrahima Konate was ruled out for three weeks with a hamstring issue sustained against Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Cup last month, so a comeback here cannot be completely ruled out following his return to team training, although it is still unlikely.

Thiago Alcantara

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hip
Possible return date: March 15 (vs. Real Madrid)

Thiago Alcantara is facing a few more weeks on the sidelines with a hip injury, but he should be back for the second leg of Liverpool's Champions League last-16 tie with Real Madrid next month.

Calvin Ramsay

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Calvin Ramsay will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing knee surgery, but the 19-year-old would still be playing second fiddle to Trent Alexander-Arnold anyway.
