Leyton Orient march on with 2-0 win over Crewe Alexandra

Leyton Orient make it four victories from a possible four with a 2-0 win over Crewe Alexandra at the Matchroom Stadium.

Leyton Orient have preserved their 100% record in League One with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Crewe Alexandra at the Matchroom Stadium.

Moses Odubajo fired the Londoners into the lead after just seven minutes, before David Mooney added a second from the penalty spot eight minutes from half time.

The hosts, vying for their fourth win straight win in England's third-tier, got off to the perfect start, with Odubajo slotting beyond Crewe goalkeeper Alan Martin following a neat pass from Dean Cox.

Russell Slade's men should have doubled their advantage from the penalty spot on the half-hour mark after Chuks Aneke fouled Kevin Lisbie in the area. The veteran striker, though, fluffed his lines from 12 yards and fired wide of the target.

However, the Londoners were shortly handed an opportunity to make amends after being awarded another penalty.

Lisbie, though, declined the opportunity to repent for his earlier miss, as Mooney shouldered the responsibility and smashed home his team's second.

The visitors showed vast improvement throughout the second half with Aneke coming close to halving the deficit, but the Arsenal loanee was twice denied by the frame of the goal.
