Hoffenheim make light work of Stuttgart

Hoffenheim have continued their fine home record with a 4-1 win over Stuttgart on Saturday afternoon.

Free-scoring Hoffenheim have added another four to their total with a comfortable victory over Stuttgart in the Bundesliga.

It took them only 12 minutes to break the deadlock, with Sven Schipplock hammering a loose ball down the middle of the goal to beat Sven Ulreich in the visiting net.

There were few chances for the rest of the half, although the hosts were more confident as Kevin Volland fired over the bar from outside the box.

At the start of the second Volland had a much better chance having been played in by Sejad Salihovic and he made no mistake with a cool finish.

From then on the hosts were able to play on the break, and their third came with Schipplock finishing low from the edge of the box from another Firmino set up.

Stuttgart pulled one back with just over 10 minutes to play thanks to Antonio Rudiger's header from an Alexandru Maxim corner, but instead the next goal went to the hosts as Firmino slotted a penalty into the top corner in stoppage time after Moritz Leitner was sent off with 10 minutes left.
