Granada edge past Real Betis

Granada edge past Real Betis 1-0 in La Liga as both sides finish the game with 10 men.

Granada have beaten Real Betis 1-0 in La Liga this afternoon.

Piti's goal just after the half-hour mark was enough for the home side to move up to 12th in La Liga.

The Spanish forward opened the scoring when he slid a low effort into the bottom corner from inside the penalty area.

Betis had a chance to level things up towards the end of the game, but Leo Baptistao could only fire straight at the goalkeeper when well placed on 75 minutes.

Dani Benitez was given a red card for a poor challenge with 10 minutes remaining, but the home side survived a late rally from Betis, before Antonio Amaya was given his marching orders for the visitors deep into stoppage time.
