FC Utrecht leave Go Ahead Eagles in trouble

Sebastian Haller scores both goals as Utrecht beat Go Ahead Eagles 2-0 in the Eredivisie to plunge their opponents further into relegation trouble.

Go Ahead Eagles have been plunged further into relegation trouble courtesy of a 2-0 loss to FC Utrecht this evening.

Sebastien Haller's double for the visitors leaves Go Ahead five points adrift of safety with two games of the season remaining.

Haller made the most of good work from Yassine Ayoub to give Utrecht the lead after 19 minutes.

He then scored his ninth goal in 14 appearances since joining on loan from Auxerre in January to make the points safe in the second half.

Utrecht climb three places to 10th in the table, while Go Ahead occupy 17th and will be consigned to one of the relegation playoff places should SBV Excelsior win any one of their three remaining matches.
