Mike Hanke wants Borussia Monchengladbach to reach the quarter-finals of the Europa League to reward the club's fans.

Borussia Monchengladbach striker Mike Hanke has insisted that his side want to reach the Europa League quarter-finals for the fans.

Up to 10,000 supporters are expected to make the trip to Rome from Germany to cheer on Monchengladbach with the tie in the balance following the 3-3 draw last week.

"[All those fans going] will help us because so many coming is incredible," Bundesliga.de quotes Hanke as saying.

"This pushes us on even more. We hope that we can give them a victory and thus reach the next round."

Monchengladbach are currently struggling in the league and find themselves 10th.
