Bordeaux edge past Rennes

Thomas Toure scores against Rennes late on to extend Bordeaux's unbeaten home run to eight matches.

Bordeaux have extended their unbeaten Ligue 1 home run to eight matches after Thomas Toure's late strike helped them to beat Rennes 2-1 this afternoon.

Abdoulaye Doucoure and Ola Toivenen were both guilty of missing chances for Rennes in what was a first half of few chances for both sides.

Bordeaux eventually took the lead through Wahbi Khazri, who slot home from close range following good work from Toure.

Mouhamadou Habib equalised late on for the visitors, but Toure scored in the game's dying moments to give Bordeaux all three points.
