Barcelona are reportedly preparing to bid farewell to Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic, who is said to be desirng a move back to Sevilla.

Barcelona are reportedly resigned to losing midfielder Ivan Rakitic this summer.

The 32-year-old joined the Catalan giants from Sevilla in 2014 and has since scored 35 goals in 299 appearances for Quique Setien's side.

However, speculation surrounding the midfielder's future has been rife recently, and according to Sport, the Croatia international has his heart set on a move back to Seville.

The report also claims that Rakitic's desire for a transfer away from Camp Nou is borne out of his love for Sevilla rather than any tensions at Barcelona, with whom he has won four La Liga titles and one Champions League.

The midfielder's current contract at Camp Nou is set to expire next summer, and it has been suggested that any funds raised from Rakitic's sale could be used in Barcelona's pursuit of an attacker.
