Report: Barcelona's Neymar suffers tendon damage in ankle

Barcelona confirm Neymar has suffered tendon damage in his right ankle.

Barcelona forward Neymar has reportedly suffered tendon damage in his right ankle after falling awkwardly in their Copa del Rey tie against Getafe this evening.

The Brazil international was replaced by Alexis Sanchez after succumbing to the injury midway through the first half against the Madrid side.

According to Barcelona's official Twitter account, Neymar has sustained tendon damage and will undergo tests on Friday morning.

The Barca star appeared to twist both his knee and his ankle as he tried to cross the ball, but there is no indication as to how long the injury will keep him out for as of yet.
