A report claims that Atletico Madrid want to sign Benfica forward Rodrigo.

Atletico Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Benfica forward Rodrigo.

With Diego Costa moving on to Chelsea, David Villa to the MLS and Adrian Lopez to Porto, Atletico are in the market for new attackers this summer.

Mario Mandzukic has arrived from Bayern Munich, but it is understood that Atletico boss Diego Simeone wants two more strikers.

According to Marca, Rodrigo has emerged as a target, with the 23-year-old believed to be keen on a move to the Primera Division champions.

Rodrigo scored 18 times for Benfica last season.
