Jeremie Aliadiere wins it for Lorient

Lorient overcome Ajaccio 2-1 in this evening's Ligue 1 meeting at Stade Francois Coty.

Lorient have triumphed 2-1 over Ajaccio at Stade Francois Coty courtesy of goals from Vincent Aboubakar and Jeremie Aliadiere.

The result sees Christian Gourcuff's side into 11th place in Ligue 1, six points behind fourth-placed Nantes, who fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Toulouse.

Lamine Gassama set up Aboubakar to break the deadlock in the 38th minute, but the home side restored parity just before the interval thanks to Salim Arrache.

The decisive moment came in the 72nd minute when second-half substitute Jeremie Aliadiere rammed home from close range following good work from Maxime Barthelme.

Defeat leaves the Corsican side seven points from safety in 19th place.
