AC Milan make Marco Van Ginkel loan approach?

AC Milan reportedly make contact with Chelsea over a possible loan deal for Marco van Ginkel, who missed most of last season because of a knee ligament injury.

AC Milan have apparently made contact with Chelsea regarding a possible loan deal for Marco van Ginkel.

The Dutchman's agent revealed on Friday that talks were planned with the Blues after Van Ginkel was left out of the squad for the opening-weekend win over Burnley.

Reports have claimed that Jose Mourinho may be willing to part with the 21-year-old on loan as he attempts to reduce the number of foreign players in his squad to comply with Premier League registration rules.

Sky Sport Italia claims that Milan are interested in bringing the Netherlands international to the San Siro for the 2014-15 season and have approached Chelsea to try to negotiate a deal.

Van Ginkel made only four appearances for Chelsea last term after suffering a cruciate knee ligament injury soon after his arrival.
