Roberto Bautista Agut ensures progress beyond Ruben Bemelmans in first round

Spanish tennis player Roberto Bautista Agut progresses beyond Belgian Ruben Bemelmans with a straight-sets victory on Court Six at Wimbledon.

Roberto Bautista Agut has progressed beyond his first-round match at Wimbledon by beating Ruben Bemelmans in three sets.

Bautista Agut took the first 6-1, after showing some early intent with a break point at 3-1 on SW19's Court Six.

The Spaniard continued to demonstrate his dominance in the contest with another impressive break to ensure a two-set lead, having taken the second with a strong forehand at 6-3.

Bemelmans sought to show that the match was not a one-man fixture and he fought hard in the final set to force a tie-break, which was eventually won by Bautista Agut, who benefited from an unforced error by his opponent to win the break 8-6.
