Marion Bartoli powers into Wimbledon final

Marion Bartoli powers her way into a second Wimbledon final with a comfortable win over Kirsten Flipkens.

Marion Bartoli has brushed aside Belgian Kirsten Flipkens in the semi-finals of Wimbledon, reaching the final with a 6-1 6-2 win.

After a close hold in her first service game, Bartoli broke the 20th seed at the first time of asking and then fended off a break point to consolidate it.

Flipkens got her first game on the board to bring it to 3-1, before being blown away for the rest of the set; Bartoli wrapping it up with ease with her first set point.

In the second set the one-way traffic showed no sign of easing up and Flipkens was broken to 15 in the very first game.

Another to 15 followed two games later to put the Frenchwoman a double-break ahead, before Flipkens called a medical timeout to help her regroup.

Immediately following it Flipkens took the first of the breaks back, but her serve then let her down once more as she lost it to 30.

She won her next service game to force Bartoli to serve for her spot in the final, which the 15th seed did with ease.

The French player will now face either Agnieszka Radwanska or Sabine Lisicki in Saturday's final.
