Kei Nishikori's Wimbledon run ended by injury

Marin Cilic marches on at Wimbledon after being handed an easy route through to the quarter-finals due to opponent Kei Nishikori pulling out through injury.

Kei Nishikori has been forced to retire from his fourth-round meeting with Marin Cilic due to injury.

The fifth seed was a set behind and five games down in the second before ending the match prematurely.

In what was a repeat of the 2014 US Open final, spectators on the No.2 court never really got to see the spectacle that they were hoping for as Nishikori was struggling from the off.

Cilic, who took the opening set inside 16 minutes and responded well to all three of his opponent's serves in the second set, will now face either Roger Federer or Steve Johnson in the quarter-finals of the competition.
