Carla Suarez Navarro wins all-Spanish affair

Spain's Carla Suarez Navarro defeated her compatriot Lourdes Dominguez Lino 6-2 6-2 to advance through to the second round of Wimbledon this afternoon.

Navarro started the brighter of the two Spaniards and having recorded a quick double break, she went on to claim the opening set in 45 minutes.

It was a similar outcome in the second set, although on this occasion it took Navarro nine minutes less to win.

She will now take on Croatia's Mirjana Lucic-Baroni for a spot in the third round of the competition.
