Heather Watson handed Wimbledon place

Britain's Heather Watson has been handed a place in the main draw at Wimbledon following Kaia Kanepi's withdrawal through injury.

The Estonian, who recently reached the quarter-finals of the French Open, has been ruled out of the tournament with a foot problem.

Word number 111 Watson's wildcard entry has now been cancelled as she enters the tournament in her own right.

The 20-year-old will be joined at the All England Lawn & Tennis Club by fellow Brits Elena Baltacha and Anne Keothavong.

Wimbledon starts on Monday, June 25.
