James Ward: 'I'm ready for Vasek Pospisil test'

James Ward is ready to do battle with Vasek Pospisil for a place in the fourth round at Wimbledon, the Londoner reveals.

James Ward has insisted that he raring to go as he prepares to take on Vasek Pospisil in the third round on Court One today.

The clash with the Canadian will be the first time the 28-year-old has ever played in the final 32 of a Grand Slam.

"I'm feeling good, I've just had a good hit and I'm going to go and get some food now - I'm hungry. I slept well and it's nice to be on a show court today," Ward told BBC Sport.

"I'm going to go out there and give it my all. I've beaten Pospisil on his home ground in the past, and hopefully I can do the same again today."

Regardless of the result against Pospisil, Ward will move into the top 100 in the next world rankings as a result of his performance at Wimbledon.
