Maria Sharapova: "Wimbledon will be my priority next season"

Sharapova targets Wimbledon success

World number two Maria Sharapova has revealed that her main goal next year is to win Wimbledon.

The Russian announced herself on the professional circuit back in 2004 by winning at SW19 as a 17-year-old.

However, a second Wimbledon title has proved elusive for the 25-year-old.

"Wimbledon will be my priority next season," she said. "This year it was different because of the Olympics but if you ask me about my main goal for 2013, it definitely will be Wimbledon."

Sharapova has also won each of the other three Grand Slam events on one occasion.
