Laura Robson delighted with "big" victory

Laura Robson admits that her win over world number 10 Maria Kirilenko in the opening round of Wimbledon is a "big one" in her career.

Laura Robson has admitted that her victory over world number 10 Maria Kirilenko in the first round of Wimbledon is a "big one" in her career.

The Brit caused an upset on Monday as she defeated the Russian 6-3 6-4 at SW19.

"I think that was a big one for me because of all the nerves and playing in front of your home crowd at Wimbledon," the 19-year-old told BBC Sport.

"I could have gone 5-1 up in the second and lost my focus a little, started thinking about winning, but I got back to playing point by point and I served pretty well."

Robson will face Colombian world number 117 Mariana Duque-Marino in the second round.
