Andy Murray confirmed as second seed for Wimbledon

Former Wimbledon champion Andy Murray is confirmed as the second seed at SW19 but tournament organisers have made several alterations to the expected list.

Andy Murray has been confirmed as the second seed at this year's Wimbledon but tournament organisers have made a number of alterations to the 32-man list.

The top six names follow the same order as the ATP world rankings but as they have done in recent years, officials have seeded players based on their grass-court performances over their place in the standings.

Richard Gasquet has been placed at number seven, Marin Cilic is at nine and Nick Kyrgios is at number 15, with Tomas Berdych among the players to drop down as a result of the changes.

Big-serving Ivo Karlovic has been named as the 23rd seed - despite only being placed at 31 in the world rankings - while top prospect Alexander Zverev also benefits after being selected at number 24.

The tournament at SW19 gets underway on Monday
