Gael Monfils withdraws from Wimbledon

France's Gael Monfils has been forced to pull out of Wimbledon due to a knee injury.

The world number 13 recently withdrew of the French Open with the same problem.

The 25-year-old has never passed the third round of the tournament at the All England Club.

Defending champion Novak Djokovic was named as the top seed in the Men's Singles draw on Wednesday, while Britain's Andy Murray was seeded fourth. The competition starts on Monday.
