Federer through to Wimbledon final eight

Roger Federer continues his campaign for his seventh Wimbledon title.

Roger Federer has beaten Mikhail Youzhny 6-7 (5-7) 6-3 6-3 6-3 in the fourth round of Wimbledon.

The tight first set almost ended in a tie-break victory to Federer, but the third seed slipped from 4-1 to 5-7. He went on to take the next three sets comfortably, six games to three in each.

The match marked the pair’s eleventh meeting and also Federer’s eleventh win against the Russian.

Federer goes on to play French 12th seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
