Wimbledon women's finalist Agnieszka Radwanska will play in Saturday's final against Serena Williams despite illness, according to her coach Tomasz Wiktorowski.

The 23-year-old pulled out of her pre-match press conference with a respiratory illness on Friday, but her finals place is not in question according to Wiktorowski.

"She's still sick. We're trying to do the best to bring her back to health for the match. As you know what can we do? With the anti-doping policy we have to obey all the rules," he told reporters.

"We can't use all the medications in the shops. We can just use garlic, hot tea with honey, aspirin... nothing else.

"She is getting better, but very slowly. She is very strong girl, it is not such a big problem to retire and cancel the final... not at all."

Meanwhile, Radwanska stated: "I will do whatever it takes to make sure I'm ready to play the best I can. It was unfortunate that the illness meant I had to withdraw from doubles.

"Of course, it is always a good sign to be playing singles and doubles in the second week of a Grand Slam, but I wasn't able to continue in both events."

Radwanska's opponent is former world number one Serena Williams.
