Janko Tipsarevic continues US Open progress

Janko Tipsarevic has continued his progress at the US Open with a straight-sets victory over Grega Zelmja in the third round.

The Serbian eighth seed came through 6-4 6-3 7-5 against the Slovakian on Court 17 at Flushing Meadows.

He will face either Philipp Kohlschreiber or John Isner for a place in the quarter-finals.

Tipsarevic has failed to get past the fourth round at any of the three previous Grand Slams this year.
