Result: Murray through in five-set thriller

Andy Murray progressed through to the third round of the US Open after coming from two sets down to beat Robin Haase in New York.

Haase began the better of the two, but Murray dug his heels in to take the first set to a tie-break, which the Dutchman won 7-5.

When Haase dispatched a series of aggressive forehands to claim the second 6-2, the number four seed looked likely to crash out of the tournament before launching a comeback.

Murray broke early in the third and went on to take the set 6-2, after which Haase received treatment courtside.

The Brit hammered his opponent, who appeared to be affected by a back injury, to win the fourth set 6-0.

Murray was 4-0 up in the final set and looked on course to win comfortably, but Haase mounted a fightback before an exchange of breaks allowed Murray to serve out the match, which he eventually did, winning 6-4.

The world number four will face number 25 seed Feliciano Lopez in the next round.
