Inglot through to quarters

Great Britain's Dominic Inglot has advanced into the quarter-finals of the men's doubles at the US Open, alongside his Swedish partner Robert Lindstedt.

The pair overcame Aliaksandr Bury and Denis Istomin to advance into the last 16 at Flushing Meadows and have now made it to the final eight with a straight-sets victory over Tommy Haas and Radek Stepanek on Sunday.

It took just 38 minutes for Inglot and Lindstedt to win the first set 6-4, before the British and Swedish pairing secured a break at 3-4 in the second to move 5-3 ahead and ultimately serve it out.

The victors dropped just one service game in the last-16 match and needed little over one hour and 15 minutes to emerge victorious.
