Colin Fleming, Treat Huey continue progress in men's doubles

Colin Fleming and Treat Huey reach the last 16 of the men's doubles with a straight-sets win over Sam Groth and Lleyton Hewitt.

Colin Fleming and Treat Huey have continued their progress at the US Open with a second-round win over Sam Groth and Lleyton Hewitt.

Earlier this week, British player Fleming and his Filipino partner Huey stunned fifth seeds Fabio Fognini and Simone Bolelli, and it got even better for the pair on Saturday afternoon at Flushing Meadows.

A break of serve in each set was enough to register a 6-3 6-4 triumph over a pairing who could represent Australia in the doubles in the Davis Cup semi-final against Great Britain later this month.

Fleming, who is bidding to reach the last eight of the US Open for the third time, joins British compatriot Jamie Murray and his partner John Peers in reaching the last 16.
