Rain delays start of US Open matches

Persistent rain showers have delayed the start of day nine at the US Open in New York.

When play begins, Andy Murray will be first up on the Arthur Ashe Stadium against American Donald Young, while John Isner will play Gilles Simon at the Louis Armstrong Stadium.

All four players will be competing for a place in the quarter-finals.

Officials have confirmed that play has been put back by one hour, although weather reports suggest that the stoppage may be longer.
