Andy Murray pleased with "solid" Andrey Kuznetsov win

Andy Murray has revealed that he is pleased with his "solid" performance in the four-set US Open victory over Andrey Kuznetsov on Saturday.

The 2012 champion remains on course for a second title at Flushing Meadows in three years after beating Kuznestsov 6-1 7-5 4-6 6-2 to move into the fourth round.

He told Sky Sports News: "I got off to a good start, which obviously helped. I had a bit of a cushion when he started to get back into the match.

"He played some good stuff at the end of the second and all the way through the third. I'm happy I stayed solid. It was tough."

Murray faces enigmatic Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the fourth round on Monday.
