Andy Murray: 'Adrian Mannarino is a tricky player'

British number one Andy Murray praises the ability of Adrian Mannarino ahead of their second-round clash at the US Open.

Andy Murray has described Adrian Mannarino as a "tricky player" ahead of their match in the US Open second round.

The British number one reached the last 64 with a four-set win over Nick Kyrgios, and the 2012 champion has revealed that he is anticipating another tough examination on Thursday evening.

The 28-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "He's a tricky player. "He's a lefty. He hits the ball extremely flat off both sides and has very short, compact swings, excellent timing.

"He's also quick, a good athlete with very good hands. He's a talented guy."

Murray beat Mannarino in straight sets in their only previous meeting at Indian Wells earlier this year.
