Roger Federer looking forward to Olympic challenge of Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray

Federer: 'Djokovic and Murray will test me'

World number one Roger Federer has said that he is looking forward to the challenge of being favourite for the Olympics tennis tournament.

Federer was reinstated as the best in the world after winning Wimbledon. He has admitted that he enjoys being the favourite but is looking forward to the prospect of facing Novak Djokivic and Andy Murray.

"Novak has a good chance but so does Andy Murray after the Wimbledon he had," Federer said. "I'm not looking too far ahead and I hope to face one of them in the final.

"I do believe winning Wimbledon will help with my confidence, it's been a great couple of weeks, and I don't mind being the favourite because that is when I play better."

Federer's best ever Olympics performance was fourth place at Sydney 2000.
