Djokovic, Troicki suffer doubles defeat

Novak Djokovic has been eliminated in the first round of men's Olympic doubles with partner Victor Troicki as the Serbian eighth seeds were beaten by Swedish duo Johan Brunstrom and Robert Lindstedt.

The first set had to be decided by an epic tie-break, which Brunstrom and Lindstedt won 10-8.

The victory was complete in the second as the Scandinavians saw out the match 6-3.

They will now play the Croatian team of Marin Cilic and Ivan Dodig, or the Colombian pairing of Juan Sebastian Cabal and Santiago Giraldo, in the second round.
