Serena Williams advances in Australian Open

Serena Williams has reached round three of the Australian Open after a comfortable straight-sets win over Czech Barbora Zahlavova.

Williams dominated the match from the onset and took the first 6-0 with some impressive ground strokes.

The second set looked to be heading for a similar outcome but Zahlavova finished strongly, providing the American with a late scare, but it was a case of too little too late as Williams took the second 6-4.

Williams has won the Australian Open five times.
